I just received word that A Cloud of Witnesses: The Theology of Hebrews in its Ancient Contexts has just rolled off the presses. This book, edited by Nathan McDonald, Trevor Hart, Richard Bauckham, and Daniel Driver (once all of the University of St. Andrews), derived from papers presented at the University of St. Andrews Conference on Hebrews and Theology held in July 2006.I was invited to contribute my essay to the book, which I was pleased to do. My essay is "The Eschatological World Already Subjected to the Son: The Οἰκουμενῆ of Hebrews 1:6 and the Son’s Enthronement."
